Transition - The season of “In Be/tween”
To everything there is a season, and a time for every matter or purpose under heaven ECCECLESATES 3:1
Many of you are in transition or a season of In Be/tween. In Be/tween what? Well, many are Be/tween sowing and harvesting, Be/tween your past glories and your future victories, Be/tween your last season and your next one in this journey called life. This is a most uncomfortable season. It is a time of searching and wondering for answers. What now? Did I hear God along the way? What am I doing? Where am I going? Did I miss it? This can be a time of difficulty, challenge, confusion and frustration. Sometimes it can be likened to a gerbil. Going as fast forward as possible, spinning your wheels and not getting anywhere. Sound familiar?
You are running the race into your future. But the questions persists, HOW DO I GET THERE?
What is needed to get into the next step?
Perseverance Perseverance always enables you to keep your eyes fixed on the goal—the prize. We must have a vision for the future. Success is an uphill climb and perseverance gives you the strength for the uphill ascent. The purpose of the climb, the race is to get to the goal, the prize. There is no record to set or break or impress but to get to the top. Perseverance is God’s ability in you to see it through, one foot in front of the other, forward thrust to the prize!
Do not grow weary in well doing, at the appointed time and in due season you shall reap if you remain full of courage. GAL 6:9
Patience Challenge and problems present themselves during the In Be/tween season. James says” let patience have it’s perfect work in you. For when patience has been developed in you, then you will be ready for anything. Full of character and strong, full and complete.” James 1:2-4
The purpose of a In Be/tween season is to grow in character. Strengthening our character is a requirement coupled with responsibility. Only the character of Christ will see us through. We can be glad during a In Be/tween season because God is at work within us. Character and integrity are of great value and estimation in the purposes of God.
Steven Covey says, “Private victories precede public victories”
In other words, don’t get the cart before the horse.
